Our client is seeking a detail-oriented healthcare analyst who thrives at the intersection of reimbursement policy, clinical decision-making, and systems implementation. This role is ideal for a collaborative problem-solver who can translate complex regulatory and coding requirements into actionable business processes while partnering across clinical, operational, and technical teams. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, clear communication, and a proactive approach to improving claims accuracy, policy administration, and medical cost outcomes.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must be located in Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Idaho.

Reimbursement Policy Analyst Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, and implement medical reimbursement policies, clinical edits, and claims processing configurations to support accurate adjudication and policy compliance.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and technical teams, to define business requirements, coordinate system changes, and support implementation efforts.
  • Research coding, reimbursement, and policy issues while providing recommendations that align with regulatory standards, financial objectives, and clinical appropriateness.
  • Develop reporting, testing, and documentation processes to support policy rollouts, measure effectiveness, and ensure successful system implementation.
  • Respond to policy, coding, and claims-related inquiries while maintaining accurate reference materials, technical documentation, and stakeholder communications.

Reimbursement Policy Analyst Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in a healthcare, reimbursement, claims, policy, or related analytical environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical reimbursement methodologies, Medicare products, CMS guidelines, and procedural/diagnostic coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify process improvements, and support business decision-making.
  • Experience working with healthcare systems, claims editing tools, reporting platforms, or business intelligence tools; SQL or related reporting experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; RN licensure or coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) is a plus.
