Purchasing Assistant Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on pricing, quality, service, and reliability to ensure the best overall value.
- Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders, confirming that orders are fulfilled according to agreed terms and delivery timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in coordinating replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on pricing trends, new products, and supply availability.
- Partner with internal departments such as finance, operations, and sales to support procurement requirements and process improvements.
- Collaborate with quality teams to verify that purchased items meet company standards and specifications.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through negotiation and continuous process evaluation.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Build and sustain positive vendor relationships to support ongoing collaboration and reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar supply chain function.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of purchasing practices, cost control methods, and inventory management.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a collaborative team environment.

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
