Desktop Support Specialist:
Our client is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide high-quality technical support to their employees, both onsite and remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a proactive approach to troubleshooting, and the ability to effectively manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires hands-on expertise with Windows 11, Office 365, and general IT hardware support.
Desktop Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site support for employee IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers, and audiovisual systems.
- Respond to and resolve service requests and break/fix incidents.
- Provide remote assistance to employees, ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues.
- Offer personalized support for VIP users, maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of desktop accessories such as monitors, docks, keyboards, and mice.
Desktop Support Specialist Qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and end-user support.
- Proficiency with the Windows 11 operating system and Office 365 applications.
- Hands-on experience with laptop and desktop hardware and peripheral devices.
- Ability to support remote users effectively using virtual collaboration tools.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with the IPS Campus Ship for shipping/receiving needs.
- Exposure to BMC Remedy or similar incident management systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms setup and troubleshooting.
Salary : $23 - $25
