Direct Support Professional - Group Home Youth

Provides leadership in conjunction with the House Manager in the overall management of living unit. One unit is male only while the other is both male and female youth. This model reflects the mentoring, coaching and support of Direct Support Professional. The supervisor facilitates in the delivery of the program to assist individuals in acquiring the skills and self-esteem needed to establish and achieve personal goals. Full-time and Part-time.

The DSP is responsible for maintaining an environment of care that is safe & therapeutic, providing direct care to individuals per agency policy, implementing appropriate supervision according to daily schedules, dispensing medication per agency policy, and safely transporting individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.  

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
2. Valid NYS driver's license with a clean MVR. 
3. Must be able to complete TCI training and maintain certification. 
4. Valid CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
5. Other required trainings

Compensation: $18 an hour based on education, experience and shift differential.
