Responsibilities
- Teach a full course load (3-3) of undergraduate accounting courses, which may include core financial accounting, managerial accounting, financial management, accounting information systems, data analysis, and data security.
- Develop and deliver engaging, interactive, and student-centered lessons that encourage critical thinking and practical application of accounting and data concepts.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in undergraduate accounting pedagogy, incorporating new techniques into course materials.
- Participate in curriculum development and review to ensure alignment with industry needs.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students.
- Contribute to the program’s intellectual life by serving on committees, participating in departmental events, leading program initiatives, and collaborating with colleagues.
- Maintain a regular on-campus presence for in-person teaching, office hours, and other teaching responsibilities.
- Ph.D. or MBA in a related field is required.
- 5 years of undergraduate finance teaching experience
- 10 years of relevant industry experience in finance.
- Proven excellence in course design, delivery, and engagement with students.
- Strong skills in all aspects of accounting, accounting strategies and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities.
- A passion for undergraduate education and a commitment to student success.
