Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers by providing friendly, attentive service to enhance their café experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep areas, and customer seating zones
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and processing of payments
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling pastries or light snacks when needed
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene at all times
Requirements
- Previous barista or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus
- Proficiency in using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout shifts
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Experience in food service or retail sales transactions is desirable; previous beverage service experience is advantageous
