Experienced Bobcat Operator/Foreman

Vandalia Blacktop & Sealcoating, Inc. is looking for an experienced Bobcat Operator/ Foreman to join our team. We are a family-owned asphalt company that has been serving the Dayton area for over 50 years.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, treats equipment with respect, and can lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer (Bobcat) safely and efficiently.
• Tear out asphalt driveways and parking lots.
• Grade and fine-grade stone for asphalt installation.
• Perform milling and excavation work.
• Load and unload equipment, materials, and trucks.
• Assist with paving operations as needed.
• Lead and work alongside a prep crew.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Keep equipment and job sites clean and organized.
• Produce quality work while maintaining a safe job site.

Qualifications

• Previous Bobcat/skid steer operating experience required.
• Experience with grading, excavation, and asphalt prep.
• Foreman or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus).
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

· Must posses the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including but not limited to:

§ Ability to climb on and off equipment safely

§ Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 100 lbs.

Work Environment

· Outdoor sites with exposure to heat, noise, vibration, dust and moving equipment

· This position typically operates between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; however, additional hours – including nights and weekends may be required to meet project deadlines, weather-related demands, or business needs. Overtime will be compensated in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
