What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN Regional Resource Nurse position at Vancouver Support Office (VSO)?
LPN Regional Resource Nurse
The Regional Resource Nurse (RRN) works in tandem with the RDCO and RVP and Regional Team to maximize the Centers clinical and operational performance. The RRN is instrumental in analyzing and identifying opportunities for clinical and operational improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist all assigned centers with survey preparation.
Complete CNA and LN observation audits of direct care/wound care/medication pass.
Have working knowledge of SNFIQ, SimpleLTC, SNFClinic to be able to monitor and report to RDCO if there are issues.
Assist RDCO with survey fixes as needed, monitor completion of POC.
Assist RDCO with mock surveys.
Assist with psychotropic, skin, weight, fall audits so they can be done more often to avoid derailing events.
Assist the RDCO to verify that tasks are accomplished, and desired outcomes occur by managing through Center staff even when off-site.
Assists the Center with creating a clear, useful plan of action to resolve issues as directed by the RDCO.
Manages multiple priorities and multiple Centers effectively.
Assists the RDCO with providing education, system implementation and monitoring, and development of QAPI Action Plans in conjunction with Executive Directors and Directors of Nursing Services to promote positive resident outcomes.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with three years in a management position in a freestanding long-term care setting.
Able to apply for State licensure upon hire.
Able to complete the AANAC certification within 180 days from hire. The costs of this certification are covered.
