Job Summary
Our dental office is a patient-centered dental practice committed to providing high-quality dental care in a comfortable, friendly environment. We are currently seeking a highly organized, dependable, and experienced Administrative Assistant with good knowledge of dental billing and insurance processes to join our front office team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage front desk operations including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing emails.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
- Submit insurance claims (electronic and paper) and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding claims.
- Post insurance payments and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or discrepancies.
- Prepare and present treatment plans and financial options to patients.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and payment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Support daily administrative operations to ensure smooth office workflow.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a dental office setting with a strong background in insurance and billing.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft)
- Strong understanding of dental insurance policies, coding (CDT codes), and billing procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
