Clinical Coding Compliance Coordinator

We're seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Coding Compliance Coordinator to lead auditing, training, and compliance initiatives across our clinical teams. This role serves as the subject matter expert in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and CCI coding, ensuring accurate documentation and optimal reimbursement in alignment with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payor guidelines.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm

Hiring Range: Typically, between $27.50 - $34.50, commensurate with experience and certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct coding audits and compliance reviews
  • Educate clinicians on documentation standards and coding accuracy - must be able to perform on-site education.
  • Develop training materials and lead workshops
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve coding issues and improve charge entry
  • Stay current with coding regulations and software updates

Qualifications

  • CCS or CPC certification required; CPMA preferred
  • 2 years of coding and chart auditing experience required
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-9/10, CPT, HCPCS, and CCI
  • Experience training clinicians and working in a medical office setting required
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office

Pay Range

$27.79 - $41.68

We also offer a 401k retirement plan, with employer contributions after your first year of employment. Benefits-eligible employees accrue PTO and Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked, totaling 120 hours in the first year for full time staff and 200 hours in the first year for full time supervisors and above, increasing in subsequent years. PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
