The Personal Insurance Client Manager builds lasting relationships by protecting what matters most to each client. You’ll manage an established book of business, uncover new opportunities, and collaborate across teams to deliver an exceptional client experience. What You’ll Do
- Manage and service an existing portfolio of personal insurance clients with care and accuracy.
- Partner with Commercial and Employee Benefits Client Executives to cross-sell personal insurance to executives and key employees.
- Conduct pre-renewal strategy meetings to review coverage, anticipate changes, and strengthen client relationships.
- Ask thoughtful questions to understand clients’ future plans and goals, tailoring programs to support them.
- Communicate with clients throughout the year in alignment with our stewardship model, ensuring proactive service and ongoing trust.
- Market new and renewal business, evaluate coverage options, prepare proposals, and present recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with carrier underwriters to design solutions that make sense for each client.
- Ensure policies and changes are accurate, compliant, and delivered promptly.
- Respond to client and carrier requests regarding policies, claims, or service issues.
- Track outstanding items and follow up consistently to keep client files current.
- Look for ways to streamline processes and maximize use of agency technology.
- Stay informed on insurance products, market trends, carrier updates, and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in personal insurance, underwriting, or marketing with an agency, brokerage, or insurance company.
- Michigan Property & Casualty license is a plus.
- Organized, dependable, and able to balance multiple priorities.
- Strong communicator—both written and verbal—with the ability to influence and build trust.
- Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Applied Epic is a plus.
- High commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
