Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workers Compensation Coordinator to join our Healthcare Clinic. Duties
- Manage all aspects of workers' compensation claims from initial report through resolution, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and legal teams to facilitate claim investigations, settlements, and compliance with employment and labor laws.
- Maintain detailed records to track claim status, medical treatments, and return-to-work plans.
- Coordinate employee communication regarding injury procedures, benefits options, and return-to-work programs to promote transparency and support employee relations.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to identify trends in workplace injuries and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding sensitive employee health information during all stages of claims processing.
- Prepare regulatory reports related to workers' compensation claims for internal use and external agencies.
- Assist in training managers and employees on injury reporting procedures, workers' compensation policies, and safety protocols.
- Negotiate with insurance providers to optimize coverage options while maintaining cost-effective solutions for the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing workers’ compensation claims within a human resources or risk management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and regulatory reporting requirements related to workplace injuries.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels, healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and legal counsel.
- Ability to interpret contracts, policies, and legal documents pertinent to workers’ compensation claims.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Training or certification in OSHA safety standards or Workers’ Compensation laws is desirable but not mandatory.
