We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you will help create a warm, welcoming experience while providing essential support to the daily operations of our clinic.
Responsibilities
- Must be punctual.
- Educating our clients about the importance on animal health
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm, welcoming attitude
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage client inquiries
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Process payments and maintain accurate client records
- Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and ensuring a smooth workflow
- Provide general administrative support to the veterinary team
- Must have patience.
Skills
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or customer service representative role is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills(active listening, empathy, and compassion)
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Adaptability to new changes, fast-paced enviroments, and learning from feedback.
- Passion for animals and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to have strong multitasking, stress management, and time-management skills
- Develop a strong understanding of veterinary products and effectively communicate their use and benefits to clients
Working Conditions
The job may require prolonged periods of standing or sitting at the front desk. Veterinary Receptionists may be exposed to animal allergens, odors, and occasional emotionally charged situations. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive client information and medical records.
