Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate, based out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual to join the team at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as the company embarks on its next stage of accelerated growth.
The Customer Service Associate will work directly on our Marketing team. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about customer service, has great communication skills (both verbal written) and loves ice cream!
This role is Part Time (30 hours a week) and NYC based, hybrid to align with marketing team’s in office days.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers through email, review platforms and social channels
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and positivity when interacting with customers, ensuring that every contact is a positive one
- Analyze and resolve customer inquiries and issues efficiently and effectively, using problem-solving skills to find solutions and escalating problems as needed
- Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure seamless order processing and timely resolution of customer concerns
- Track all customer feedback and complete monthly reports on feedback trends to share with leadership team
- Partner with retail and production to ensure all teams are actively engaged with customer feedback
- Support the marketing team with promotion and administrative needs, including promo materials, shipment fulfillment/tracking, and ad-hoc support
- Alert and coordinate next steps with appropriate internal parties for any serious complaints in order to find a solution for the customer
- Monitor customer merch orders via the backend of the website
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ZenDesk and WooCommerce experience preferred but not required
- Google Workplace experience is a plus
- Must be solutions-oriented with a positive attitude!
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
