What the position entails:

Project Superintendent will promote a professional, positive and enjoyable work environment for onsite water and wastewater projects. Project Superintendent will work directly with field personnel and subcontractors following corporate policies and procedures and upholding VHC’s ethics, values and integrity.

Duties and responsibilities:

•   Utilize Site Specific Safety Plan to ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Conduct safety inspections and safety meetings

•   Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings

•   Assure accurate and timely submission of field paperwork to accounting

•   Assist Project Manager with monthly Cost-to-Complete projections

•   Maintain logs

•   Write clear and precise daily reports

•   Be involved in training of Foreman in all aspects of job site supervision

•   All other tasks as assigned

•   This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes. VHC is a drug-free workplace and an E-Verify employer. Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory

Education/Skill Requirements:

•   At least five years in WATER/WASTEWATER construction experience (residential will not qualify)

•   Understand engineering plans and specifications related to water/wastewater work and understand processes involved

•   Excellent written and oral communication

•   Participate in work acquisition by attending interviews when necessary

•   OSHA 30 trained

•   First Aid/CPR training and certification

Physical Demands:

•   Frequently lift 20 to 50 pounds

•   Continuously sit, stand or walk

•   Bend, squat and climb stairs or ladders

•   Exposure to dust, oil, fumes and noise while working outside

•   Operate a motor vehicle and maneuver through various types of terrain

•   Overnight Travel as required
