Responsibilities
- Safely operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other equipment to reach high branches and difficult areas for trimming and pruning.
- Use rigging techniques to safely remove or prune trees, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding structures and landscapes.
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, shaping, and removing dead or hazardous branches to promote healthy growth.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site aesthetics.
- Apply knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and assessing tree locations and health conditions.
- Maintain equipment including bucket trucks and rigging gear, ensuring all tools are in excellent working condition.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents during tree trimming or landscape work while adhering to industry standards for tree care and horticulture practices.
Experience
- Prior experience in tree trimming, pruning, or landscape maintenance is highly preferred.
- Growing experience in horticulture or related fields demonstrates a strong foundation in plant health and landscape management.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for safe tree removal or pruning operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with using bucket trucks, bucket operation, and other aerial lift equipment is desirable.
- Basic understanding of GIS technology for mapping or assessing landscapes enhances your effectiveness in this role.
