How You’ll Make An Impact

The Technical Services & Field Test Team works with fluid formulators, marketing, and sales groups as well as large fleet customers, industrial customers, and test partners. This team actively manages field test sites and provides data for new product development, industry approvals, and OEM support. As the customer facing technical team for VGO we provide direct application support regarding lubricants, hydraulic fluids, chemicals, and coolants for consumer and industrial applications.

The Technical Services & Field Test (R&D) Intern will work with the team on correlating application performance to fluid analysis parameters.

• This is a continious internship opportunity that will work through the summer and into the spring and/or fall semester and can be flexible with your school schedule. It will need to sit on-site in Lexington, KY*
  
  

Responsibilities Include

• Analyze used oil data based on application, vehicle or asset type, and duty cycle.
• Assist with field test projects focused on lubricants such as engine oil, transmission oil, and gear oil to achieve industry approvals and support performance claims.
• Participate in engine inspections.
• Perform data analysis and communicate results with engineers and scientists.
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Currently enroleld in a Mechanical, Chemical, Data Science, or Engineering colllege program
• Good teamwork mentality
• Good communication skills.
• Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40lbs.
