How You’ll Make An Impact

The Research and Development (R&D) Intern will help the Technology team characterize various lubricating greases and assist in R&D activities.

• This is a continious internship opportunity that will work through the summer and into the spring and/or fall semester and can be flexible with your school schedule. It will need to sit on-site in Lexington, KY*
  
  

Responsibilities Include

• Characterization of greases for commerical activities support.
• Characterization of greases to support R&D activities.
• R&D related materials synthesis.
• Evaluating/Screening commerical raw materials and additives for various projects.
• Processing/recording data from commerical and R&D activties as required.
• Assisting in addressing customer related issues/field problems.
• Maintenance of testing equipment and materials.
• Getting familiar with our VLIMS system to collect and record data.
• Performing data analysis and communication with formulators and scientists.
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Currently enroleld in a Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering colllege program
• Good team work mentality
• Good communication skills.
• Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to occasionally life and carry up to 25lbs.
