Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers, ensuring accurate production runs.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents to determine machining specifications and tolerances.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
- Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Utilize shop math skills for calculations related to material dimensions, tooling offsets, and machine settings.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime, ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Operate auxiliary shop tools such as stamping presses, press brake machines, forklift trucks, hand tools, and welding equipment as needed for fabrication or assembly tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, quality checks, and machine maintenance logs in accordance with safety standards and quality control protocols.
- Follow safety procedures rigorously while handling materials, tooling, and machinery to promote a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret complex technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in the use of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks for design review or modifications.
- Experience operating various manufacturing equipment including stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and fabrication tools.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of shop math, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and precision measurement techniques.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments; capable of identifying hazards and implementing safe work practices.
- Warehouse experience including materials handling, packaging, tooling management, and inventory control is advantageous.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues quickly while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong communication skills for interpreting technical documentation and collaborating with team members on complex projects.
