Valtir is hiring Production Workers to support our Orangeburg, SC manufacturing facility by performing general labor aiding in the manufacturing and processing of highway safety products.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate equipment and tools to aid in manufacturing highway safety products.
- Perform a variety of tasks as directed to maintain efficient production in the department
- Maintain a clean work environment through 5S activities
- Lift/carry materials of different weights throughout the shift
- Check tools and equipment in observance of safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Working Environment:
- Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy.
- The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.
- Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant. Dependable job attendance is expected.
What you will need:
- Ability to life 120lbs continuously throughout entire shift
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial experience
- Reliable and predictable attendance
- Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment in that area
- Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently
- Ability to function as a team member and establish and maintain effective working relationships
