1st Shift: FULL-TIME  

$3,000 sign on bonus. $1,000 paid out at 30 days, $1,000 paid out at 90 days & $1,000 paid out at 180 days.

Valtir is hiring a Custodian team member to support our Lima, OH manufacturing facility by performing a combination of duties to maintain the cleanliness of our facility. The role requires a "hands-on" approach to successfully keep buildings and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. 

Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

•    Floor Maintenance: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, floors, and walkways 

•    Waste Management: emptying trash containers, removing manufacturing scrap and debris, and disposing of hazardous waste according to regulations

•    Common Area Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, break rooms, lockers, cafeterias, and offices.

•    Spill Response: Cleaning up spills, broken glass, or chemical spills immediately to prevent accidents.

•    Safety Compliance: Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations.

•    Inventory Management: Restocking supplies (paper towels, soap) and maintaining the inventory of cleaning chemicals and tools.

•    Equipment Maintenance: Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment

•    Inspection: Monitoring facilities to identify and report potential hazards, such as faulty equipment, to supervisors. 

•    Heavy Duty Tasks: Handling chemical cleaning agents and working in environments with high noise levels or extreme temperatures.

Working Environment:

•    Conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, and noisy.

•    The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the plant.

•    Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be adhered to at all times. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing and steel-toed shoes.

•    Attendance and showing up to work on time are important to the success of the plant.  Dependable job attendance is expected.

Qualifications:

•    1-2 years related experience preferred 

•    Ability to frequently lift objects between 35-50lbs, along with frequent bending, kneeling and standing for long periods of time.

•    Positive “Can Do” attitude, able to weather setbacks and cultural resistance.

•    Must be able to work individually and as part of a team.

•    Well organized

•    Regular and predictable attendance
