We are looking for an intern to join our pasrty team in Valrhona to assist our chefs for all of the classes, demos, and day to day operations of the school.

MAIN FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Kitchen Operations: Work with the Assistant Pastry Chef to manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring proper stock rotation, cleanliness, and organization of storage and the kitchen environment.
- Inventory Management: Help manage product stocks and inventories, including ordering ingredients and products needed for classes and technical events.
- Concept & Recipe Creation: Contribute ideas for recipes and concepts that enhance Valrhona's product offerings under the guidance of the Pastry Chefs. Support the development and testing of new recipes to align with Valrhona's product offerings and brand activities.
- Communication Support: Collaborate with the communications department to create social media content that highlights the expertise of l'Ecole Valrhona and supports brand marketing.
- Event & Class Preparation: Assist Valrhona pastry chefs and guest chefs with preparations for internal and external classes or events, ensuring all ingredients, recipes, and kitchen equipment are ready for smooth execution.
- Classroom Assistance: Provide support during l'Ecole Valrhona classes, assisting teaching chefs and students as needed while maintaining brand image in photos and videos.
Assist all Valrhona Pastry Chefs and Guest Chefs with the preparation of their classes or events in which chefs provide technical support, training courses, and demonstrations to customers/end users. Support marketing and business development functions in a variety of ways.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a culinary or pastry program.
- A strong passion for pastry, chocolate, and the art of teaching.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends for special events if needed.
