FIELD SECURITY MANAGER
Full-Time | Salary: $70,000 – $75,000

POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Security Manager is a mission-critical operational leader responsible for ensuring flawless field execution, premium service delivery, and continuous performance improvement across all assigned accounts. This role exists to uphold Valor Protection’s uncompromising standards of excellence, integrity, professionalism, education, and dependability, while advancing operational readiness throughout the agency.
The Field Security Manager provides direct leadership to Safety Officers, Senior Officers, and Field Supervisors, ensuring that every site operates with precision, consistency, and accountability. This leader is responsible for staff development, client engagement, crisis response coordination, and building a culture of excellence within the field division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Field Operations Management
- Oversee daily field operations across multiple sites, ensuring accurate staffing, schedule adherence, and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct unannounced site audits, inspections, uniform checks, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with post orders and agency standards.
- Assess officer readiness (equipment, appearance, documentation accuracy, site knowledge, SOP adherence) at every visit.
- Ensure full coverage during call-outs, vacancies, or emergent staffing needs by coordinating with Operations and providing direct support when necessary.
- Lead field deployment during high-volume periods, large events, emergencies, or client escalations.
- Ensure all field personnel understand and follow site-specific protocols, legal guidelines, and agency-wide performance expectations.
II. Leadership, Coaching & Personnel Development
- Provide daily leadership and professional development for Safety Officers, Senior Officers, Field Supervisors, and new hires.
- Mentor and coach field staff through real-time feedback, corrective action, and strategic performance elevation.
- Facilitate ongoing training in situational awareness, de-escalation, documentation, customer service, and professionalism.
- Conduct bi-annual performance evaluations using KPI-driven scorecards.
- Lead disciplinary processes in alignment with agency standards, including coaching sessions, documentation, and corrective plans.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and field training for new team members.
- Reinforce agency fitness standards and ensure compliance with grooming, uniform, and professionalism expectations.
III. Client Relations & Account Support
- Serve as the primary operational liaison for assigned clients (property managers, school administrators, business partners, etc.).
- Conduct professional walkthroughs, safety assessments, and collaborative check-ins with clients to maintain strong relationships.
- Resolve client concerns swiftly with transparency, accuracy, and proactive communication.
- Present recommendations for improved safety, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure client post orders and expectations remain current, accurate, and aligned with evolving needs.
- Support new account launches, transitions, and onboarding of officers into new facilities.
IV. Compliance, Reporting & Documentation
- Review and approve incident reports, daily activity reports, statements, timesheets, and site logs for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all documentation meets legal, contractual, and agency standards.
- Conduct internal investigations related to officer performance, incidents, or operational failures.
- Maintain detailed records of site audits, officer performance, and client communications.
- Provide weekly operational summaries and monthly performance reports to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as company policies and contract requirements.
V. Emergency Response & Crisis Leadership
- Respond promptly to emergencies or critical incidents across assigned sites.
- Lead field response coordination during disturbances, medical emergencies, property violations, unauthorized access, or squatter issues.
- Serve as on-scene command until relieved by law enforcement, property management, or higher leadership.
- Support officers with de-escalation, crowd management, conflict resolution, and trauma-informed response techniques.
- Maintain communication with law enforcement partners and assist with evidence preservation and reporting.
- Help develop emergency action plans and support clients in implementing crisis response strategies.
VI. Quality Assurance & Performance Excellence
- Ensure every officer demonstrates Valor Protection’s core values, professional standards, and safety-first principles.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective coaching, retraining, or reassignments.
- Evaluate site performance through measurable indicators such as incident reduction, client satisfaction, timeliness, and officer professionalism.
- Standardize operations by ensuring consistent use of agency tools, reporting systems, and communication protocols.
- Provide leadership in elevating service quality through innovation, operational refinement, and client feedback integration.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements
- 3–5 years of progressive security, public safety, law enforcement, or emergency management experience.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory, field leadership, or management role.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between sites daily.
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and agency fitness standards.

WORK CONDITIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- Full-time role requiring flexibility (including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed).
- On-call rotation during high-risk periods or operational emergencies.
- Frequent travel between client sites within assigned region.
- Must be physically able to conduct site inspections, respond to emergencies, and support officers as needed.
