POSITION PROFILE
The Spa Director will manage the spa team and provide leadership, coaching, development and direction to all spa staff. The Spa Director will be accountable to ensure financial success and provide an exceptional guest experience in a professional atmosphere
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
- Manages and oversees the spa department and all it entails.
- Ensures the training of the spa staff to exceed standards. Ability to work with trainers to achieve the best possible learning environment for spa staff.
- Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all spa related activities consistent with the policies, philosophy and objectives of the spa.
- Interview and select job applicants as well as effectively supervise, discipline, mentor and give 90 day & annual performance evaluations for spa employees.
- Host staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure a cohesive hotel/spa environment.
- Communicate on all levels with staff, colleagues and management.
- Convey clear instructions and guidance to staff and establish working relationships that maintain a high level of employee moral.
- Develop and enhance programs and policies to ensure retention of high performers.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to excel in an environment that sets goals, tracks progress and strives for growth.
Previous spa, salon, hospitality leadership experience.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Experience with SpaSoft.
- Strong professional presentation, technical ability and relationship building.
