Position Summary
The Manufacturing Technician – Machining & Laser Engraving supports production by manufacturing precision components used in industrial equipment. This role operates machining and laser engraving equipment to produce high-quality parts while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual or semi-automatic lathes to machine precision components
- Perform machining tasks
- Set up and operate laser engraving equipment
- Interpret drawings, work orders, blueprints, and CAD files
- Select tools, prepare materials, and secure workpieces
- Adjust machine and laser parameters to meet specifications
- Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
- Conduct test runs and verify finished parts meet quality requirements
- Assemble machined components as required
- Maintain equipment through daily cleaning, lubrication, and basic upkeep
- Follow all safety, PPE, and HSE requirements
- Assist production with assembling additional equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Technical training in machining, manufacturing, or equivalent experience
- Experience operating lathes
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Basic understanding of machining principles and shop safety practices
- Experience with cylindrical grinding or balancing machines
- Experience operating laser engraving equipment is a plus
- Manufacturing or industrial equipment background
