What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Manager Wet End position at Valmet?
The Field Service Manager is responsible for supporting the achievement of business targets for the BTS Group specifically for the Headbox and Former Field Services. Ensure complete support and management of after-sales service to all customers.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Understands and has the knowledge of the Headbox and Former technology
Generates quotes and coordinates schedules of field service personnel providing plans to improve service performance, through reviews of current performance and recommendations for improvements.
Work with Agreement Managers to generate long term proposals for mill site services with proposals toward value added services to customers.
Serves as the lead interface to Project Management for staffing installations.
Review of completed project results with respect to both technical success and profitability.
Serves as a product technical resource in NA for both external and internal customers.
Stays abreast of competitors' products and activities.
Responsible for budget and policy recommendations and improvements.
Develops a team of service employees to ensure performance against the agreed service standards including leading and directing team.
Job Requirements
Bachelors or Associates Degree from university or technical college; preferred minimum of three to five years technical experience in a similar position within the paper industry or a related industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of company produced equipment.
Requires the ability to read blueprints and diagrams. Must be able to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, percentages, and metric conversions.
Working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, pipefitting, and machining preferred.
Strong leadership ability is essential to supervise work groups.
Maintain current Passport and Valid Driver’s License.
Travel, 50% minimum of field days is expected, International travel required, Air travel is required
Must be accessible during normal working hours and other non- standard hours occasionally as needed to support customers.
