What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Building Engineer position at Valleywise Health System?
Under the direction of the Director Facilities, the Supervisor Building Engineer plans, implements, coordinates and manages all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildings.
Salary range: $63,169.60 - $93,184.00
Qualifications
Education:

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, facilities management or related field preferred.
Experience:
-
Must have a minimum of four (4) years of facility management related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Prefer prior direct or indirect supervisory experience.
Certification/Licensure:
-
Prefer Universal CFC certification.
-
Prefer certification in three or more of the following:
-
HVAC
-
Electrical
-
Mechanical
-
HVAC and refrigeration systems
-
Process controls
-
Mechanical power transmissions
-
Painting
-
Plumbing
-
Carpentry
-

Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for fingerprint clearance card.
