Support People, Processes & Employee Experience
At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our People Operations team drives the employee experience from hire to retire. We’re seeking a hands-on People Operations Associate to support HR programs, partner with leaders, and ensure seamless execution across onboarding, HR systems, employee relations, and workforce data.
What You’ll Do
- Manage pre-boarding and onboarding to ensure a smooth, positive new hire experience
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries (benefits, payroll, UKG, policies, LOA, etc.)
- Partner with leaders to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures
- Support HR programs including performance management, compensation reviews, surveys, and events
- Maintain and update employee records in UKG, including job changes and terminations
- Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate employee setup and data integrity
- Analyze HR data, identify trends, and present insights to HR leadership
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and HR documentation requirements
- Manage HR records and ensure compliance with retention policies
- Coordinate subpoena requests and partner with Legal and leadership
- Assist with HR communications, reporting, and administrative support
What You Bring
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience
- Broad knowledge of HR functions (staffing, compensation, HRIS, employee relations, benefits, training)
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience working with HR systems (preferably UKG)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days
