- Reports to the Assistant Principal
- Perform general clerical duties, such as, but not limited to, answering phones, greeting visitors and performing Raptor duties, scheduling meetings, sorting and distributing U.S. and inter-district mail, typing correspondence, filing and records management, preparing and initiating Parentlink calls, completing data entry, participating in emergency drills, attending district meetings, distributing supplies, and preparing/distributing supplies, and preparing/distributing parent event flyers
- Support the building administrator with student scheduling
- Act as building registrar
- Support the building Assistant Principal/SRT leader with various tasks
- Manage daily student attendance tasks
- Enter student referrals, suspensions and detentions into appropriate database
- Maintain annual book inventory
- Coordinate testing materials
- Update and maintain student transportation lists
- Provide assistance with major student events through the school year
- Process requests for building usage
- Act as back-up employee attendance operator for the building, as assigned
- Assist with interpreting parent phone calls, meetings and/or translating written communication, if applicable
- Attend evening events, as requested
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent, some College preferred
- Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience, preferred
- Must possess proficient typing, grammar and computer skills, including all Microsoft Office and Google products
- Knowledge and experience with office equipment
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and on the phone
- Must be proficient in general clerical tasks
- Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
- Must possess the ability to perform and complete assigned tasks
- Must be able to handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Ability to work collaboratively with administration, staff and stakeholders
