2nd Shift Service Advisor

Job Summary
The 2nd Shift Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department during evening operations. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating repair orders, communicating with technicians, and ensuring timely completion of repairs for commercial trucks and fleet vehicles.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable handling multiple service requests while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately document customer concerns and vehicle issues
- Open and manage repair orders throughout the service process
- Communicate repair recommendations, estimates, and timelines to customers and fleet accounts
- Coordinate workflow between technicians, parts department, and customers
- Monitor repair progress and provide regular updates
- Ensure all repair documentation is complete and accurate
- Handle warranty and billing information as needed
- Maintain strong communication with 1st and 3rd shift teams for smooth transition of work
- Promote additional maintenance or repair services when appropriate
- Assist with scheduling and dispatching service work
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or customer service role preferred
- Heavy-duty truck, diesel, or automotive industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Knowledge of repair order systems and service terminology preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
