JOB DESCRIPTION
The Talent Specialist is responsible for supporting the talent acquisition process by coordinating and executing recruiting and onboarding activities. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers, candidates, and the HR Team to ensure an exceptional candidate experience and meet VSE’s hiring needs.
Responsibilities:

Source and evaluate talent for potential opportunities within the organization, using direct and indirect channels.

Review resumes, conduct initial screening interviews, assess and rank prospective talent.

Assist with developing job descriptions for advertising and posting on internal sites and with external agencies.

Coordinates participation in career fairs and building talent pipelines.

Launches offer letters and coordinates new hire onboarding.

Design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs.

Conduct 30/60/90 day surveys and interviews with new hires.

Facilitates new hire orientation to familiarize new employees with company policies, procedures, and culture.

Coordinates with various departments to ensure a seamless onboarding and training experience.

Manages Paycom Learning system.

Maintains and updates the applicant tracking systems.

Track and report on key recruitment and onboarding metrics, such as time-to-fill, candidate source effectiveness, and new hire retention rates.

Manages talent agency relationships.

Manages agency conversion review process.
Note: this is an on-site position and will include a monthly visit to our San Jose location.
Qualifications:Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

2 years of experience in recruitment, HR coordination, and/or onboarding.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
