What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator / Project Manager – Civil Construction position at Valley Pipeline Services, Inc.?
Looking for an Estimator / Project Manager with experience in underground utilities and civil construction. This role will be responsible for reviewing plans, preparing accurate takeoffs, coordinating with vendors, and helping manage projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong understanding of civil construction plans
- Ability to read and cross reference multiple disciplines (civil, structural, plumbing, etc.)
- Experience with material takeoffs for wet and dry utilities
- Comfortable communicating with vendors and suppliers
- Proficient in Bluebeam and Excel
- Efficient working knowledge of Procore
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with Trimble GPS systems and layout
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, addendums, and scopes
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating
- Coordinate pricing with vendors and suppliers
- Support project management including submittals, RFIs and change orders
- Work closely with field crews and superintendents
