Position Summary
The Retail Floor & Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day presentation, organization, and stocking of the sales floor, ensuring merchandising standards are met and customers receive a high level of service. This role manages planogram execution, inventory accuracy, and product replenishment across general merchandise, over-the-counter (OTC) products.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising & Store Presentation
- Oversee planogram execution and merchandising to ensure products are properly displayed and stocked according to company standards
- Manage front-end impulse buy sections, seasonal displays, and promotional endcaps to maximize sales and visual appeal
- Ensure proper placement of promotional materials, signage, and pricing displays throughout the store
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, aisles, and checkout areas at all times
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Oversee inventory ordering and restocking for OTC products, durable medical equipment, and general merchandise
- Monitor stock levels to prevent out-of-stocks and overstock situations
- Coordinate with vendors/suppliers as needed to ensure timely replenishment
Customer Service
- Oversee retail floor customer service operations to ensure customers receive excellent, courteous service
- Handle customer inquiries regarding store products, services, and product availability
- Resolve customer concerns or escalate issues as appropriate
- Train and coach floor staff on customer service best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience in retail merchandising, inventory management, or store supervision
- Experience with OTC products or durable medical equipment a plus
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer proficiency (inventory systems, POS systems)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
