Job Summary
This position is assigned to work in both the front and back office of the clinic. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-past environment while providing excellent care for our patients.
Duties/Responsibilities
Back Office Duties
- Conducting blood draws, non-stress tests, injections and completing vitals.
- Assisting in procedural set-ups such Amniocentesis, Cerclage Removal, Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS).
- Scheduling surgeries with local hospitals, verifying times with patients and providers.
- Responding to portal messages between patient and provider
- Patient intake and vital
- Clean and set up exam rooms
- Chaperone exams
- Chart Preparation
- Follow up on labs and specimen collection results
Front Office Duties
- Welcoming patients by greeting them, in person or on the phone, answering and directing inquiries from patients and referring providers.
- Registering, scheduling, and confirming appointments.
- Verifying patient demographic information and update as needed
- Collecting co-pay and past due balances
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent Customer Service
- MA Certificate
- Patience and Empathy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Education /Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Associates degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years required, with OB/GYN preferred
- Experience with EMR system, Athena knowledge a plus
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended intervals
