- The Grocery Manager at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the grocery department. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high standards of inventory and merchandising, maintaining compliance with safety and food regulations, and delivering excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience and drive the department’s profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the grocery department to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise, train, and develop grocery department staff to achieve high performance and engagement.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and ensuring adequate product availability.
- Maintain cleanliness and merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Track sales and profitability, analyzing data to make informed decisions to improve department performance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and food regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve overall store goals and objectives.
