Job Summary
The Part-Time Independent Study Educational Specialist provides individualized instruction and academic support to students enrolled in an independent study program, ensuring they make progress toward academic goals while meeting program and compliance requirements. This role includes developing and implementing personalized learning plans, monitoring student progress, maintaining required documentation, and collaborating with families and school staff to support student success. The Educational Specialist delivers differentiated instruction, provides feedback on assignments, and promotes student engagement and accountability while helping students build the skills necessary for independent learning in a flexible educational environment

Qualifications One of the following credentials; Emergency Resource Specialist Permit, Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Early Childhoold Special Education, Education Specilaist Bridge - Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Extensive Support Needs, Extensive Support Needs Commitment to the mission and goals of the school Comprehensive knowledge of learning theories and curriculum development Demonstrated record of serving students and families in a culturally diverse learning environment Ability to effectively communicate with the school’s stakeholders Proficient with technology and computers Entrepreneurial thinking and strategic vision Ability to communicate to multiple, diverse constituencies Good judgment and compassion The belief that all students can learn at the speed of personal potential
