Valley Insititute of Prosthetics and Orthotics, INC (VIPO) is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented patient care coordinator to be the welcoming face and organizational anchor for our Bakersfield location.

This is not just a desk job - you will be the first step in our patient's journey to renewing mobility and independence, whether they are injured seeking an orthotic device, or post amputation needing a prosthetic to regain confidence.

• Customer Service Excellence: You manage situation with grace, respond promptly and treat everyone with respect.
• Bilingual Bonus: Fluency in English and Spanish is very helpful!
• Detail-Obsessed: Ensure HCPS coding and quantities are entered correctly, timely and
• Follow-up Force: Relentlessly track and follow up on documentation requests in order to get our patients the devices they need, under their very specific insurance specific coverage criteria

What you need to have in your toolbox:

• Education & Experience: You need to have a Medical Assistant or Medical Billing certification, completion of a vocational school with graduation. You must have 2 years of recent billing, coding, or authorization experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
