FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE/RECEPTIONIST
Valley Hi looking for a Front Desk Associate to serve as our guests’ and employees first point of contact and to manage the check in and screening process per the facility policy. The Front Desk Associate should be able to demonstrate our Core Values (Compassion, Quality, Commitment and Teamwork) on a daily basis. This position is 14 hrs/week and requires every other weekend availability, including rotating holidays throughout the year. This is a non-IMRF position. Must have excellent attendance to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all guests, families and employees
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks with our electronic system and ensure all are approved to enter the facility
- Answer and forward calls to appropriate departments
- Manage resident trust funds and employee cash boxes
- Collect payments and provide receipts
- Data entry into our EMR system (must have computer skills)
- Update spreadsheets, beauty shop lists and resident menus
- Provide information about Valley Hi to guests
- Respond to concerns and direct unresolved concerns to the appropriate department
Skills
- Work experience as a Receptionist or Fronk Desk Associate
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills, fax machine, copier and iPad or Android applications
- Customer service attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently

JOB SUMMARY:
Valley Hi Nursing Home has an opening for a front desk associate to answers the phones, routes calls, sorts mail, and greets facility staff and guests. The front desk associate also completes light data entry and general office support to the department heads and administrative staff. The front desk associate also assists with other, non-clinical needs within the facility as needed. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, has a great personality, is friendly and energetic to join our team.
Schedule
Week 1 (28.5 total hours):
- Monday 8:00am-4:00pm
- Wednesday 8:00am-4:00pm
- Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
- Saturday 8:00am-2:00pm
Week 2 (21 total hours):
- Sunday 8:00am-2:00pm
- Monday 8:00am-4:00pm
- Wednesday 8:00am-4:00pm
