What are the responsibilities and job description for the S1_Sanitation Worker position at VALLEY FINE FOODS CO LLC?
This position will begin through the temporary staffing agency.
Position Overview: This position requires the sanitation of food processing equipment and production area to ensure the facility is in accordance with food safety practices. Work will consist of routine tasks requiring identification of problems and everyday decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Cleans and sanitizes food processing equipment, floors, walls and related facilities in accordance with food safety practices
· Required to sweep, mop and wash daily
· Ability to mix and use chemicals related to cleaning and sanitizing equipment
· Required to disassemble and reassemble machines for cleaning purposes
· Operate pressure washers, scrubbers and other janitorial type equipment
· Frequently lift/move hoses, equipment and chemical containers
· Perform a variety of tasks while standing, lifting, crouching for long periods of time
· Exposed to cold, wet/water and freezer temperatures
· Adhere to and understand Valley Fine Foods’ HACCP processes, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and safety practices
· Proceeds with assigned duties ensuring several Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
· Properly cover all electrical components
· Handle chemicals in accordance with proper safety procedures
· Follow and properly used Personal protective Equipment (PPE)
· Understand and follow lock out/tag out process
· Ability to lift 50lbs
· Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required
- Speak, Read and Write Fluent English
- Basic math skills
- 1 years in Food Manufacturing Sanitation
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule – 5pm-1:30 Am
- Able and willing to complete CGMP, HACCP, SSOPs, safety, and equipment trainings
