We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our Convenience store, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage various tasks will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our clientele.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for processing transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while merchandising products effectively.
- Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Provide product demonstrations when necessary to promote new items or special promotions.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries over the phone.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, and cashiering is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; bilingual skills are a plus.
