Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with inventory management through stocking, fronting, and facing.
- Support the store team by supervising junior staff during shifts when needed and guiding new employees.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are highly valued but not required.
- Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments preferred
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience.
- Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for cashiering and retail math calculations.
