Key Responsibilities
- Assist in processing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting and generating reports
- Manage and organize financial documents, contracts, and vendor information
- Assist in tracking job costs and maintaining accurate project-related financial data
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies
- Support the Controller with audits, tax filings, and compliance-related tasks
- Perform general administrative duties, such as data entry and filing, to support the accounting team
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in the construction or electrical contracting industry
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint Spectrum, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial transactions
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
- Experience with job costing or construction accounting is a plus
