Position Overview
The Medical Office Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering an excellent patient experience. The ideal candidate is adaptable, confident, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a positive, professional demeanor in a busy setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer multi-line telephone calls and accurately relay messages
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments efficiently
- Greet patients and families in a warm, professional manner
- Verify insurance coverage and accurately enter patient information
- Perform general medical reception duties and support the clinical team as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (required)
- Medical office experience preferred
- Strong computer proficiency
- Experience managing multi-line phone systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain organized and professional in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts
- Monday through Thursday
Location Requirement
- Must reside in or be able to reliably commute to Yakima, WA
