Summary
The Valley County Sheriff’s Office is recruiting for a Civil Clerk to perform a wide range of clerical and customer service duties. This is a full-time position with full county benefits and is located within the Civil Division of the Sheriff’s Office. Typical Duties & Responsibilities
Typical duties include providing courteous customer service when interacting with the public (in-person and by telephone or email), performing various clerical and office support duties, accepting and receipting money payments, and processing, interpreting, producing, and maintaining public and legal documents. Additionally, this position will maintain validation records for gun ownership, no-contact orders, and civil protection orders in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database. This position will also assist with the service of subpoenas, legal summons, and garnishments, and with associated duties for legal claims and any accompanying financials.

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent customer service skills, experience operating standard office equipment including a personal computer and job-related software applications, and strong attention to detail. Anyone interested in this position will have to pass a thorough background check (including being fingerprinted) and a drug test, become certified in the Idaho Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (ILETS) within 3 months, and become certified with the Idaho Transportation Department for the issuance of Idaho drivers' licenses.
