WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (occasional Saturday as needed)
NATURE OF WORK:
The Medical Office Manager will oversee the daily operations of Valley’s outpatient medical services and the supervision of the agency nursing staff. This person will ensure efficient scheduling of appointments for the medical staff, help develop and implement policies and procedures for excellence of patient care, train staff, and enhance customer service and patient satisfaction through effective management practices. This position is stationed in the Morgantown office but will travel to all other outpatient offices as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supervise the agency nursing staff.
- Manage day-to-day operations of all outpatient medical services.
- Manage Nurse’s & Doctor’s schedules and ensure adequate coverage for medical services.
- Coordinate services provided with the Nursing staff and other providers.
- Train medical staff on agency procedures and workflow.
- Oversee the agency OBMAT diversion program.
- Oversee the agency primary care screenings.
- Collaborate with the agency Medical Director to develop and revise procedures and workflows for optimal patient care.
- Coordinate internal nursing programs and services.
- Develop and implementing office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Ensuring smooth daily operations, managing patient records, and maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to successfully perform essential duties as described below.
- 2-3 years of experience in medical office administration.
- Medical background and knowledge of best medical practices.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to comply with Client’s Rights.
- Ability to comply with Valley’s and Division departmental safety protocols.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Medical Office Administration or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in medical office administration.
