Job Summary
Accountable for performing laboratory procedures using a variety of instruments and procedures. Performs laboratory analyses at a highly proficient level and serves as a resource to coworkers for complex problem solving within the scope of the procedures performed in the laboratory. Areas of responsibility may include one or more of the following: hematology, coagulation, immunohematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, molecular biology, point of care testing (POCT) and histopathology. Participates in the CLS Training Program as opportunities arise. Functions as section in-charge and/or CLS In-Charge of the laboratory when supervisors are not present.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree Consistent with State of California CLS Licensure requirements. (required)
- Masters Degree Related field (preferred)
- CLS - Clinical Lab Scientist License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health (required)
- Minimum two (2) years Full-time equivalent clinical laboratory experience (required)
- Minimum one (1) year Full-time equivalent clinical experience in pediatrics (preferred)
- Minimum five (5) years Increasing knowledge, skills, and responsibilities (preferred)
