Clinical Laboratory Scientist | Full Time - Laboratory Join Our Team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Location: Mariposa, California – Gateway to Yosemite National Park Department: Laboratory Openings: 1 ____________________________________________________________ Position Summary As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at John C. Fremont Healthcare District, you will independently perform clinical laboratory tests and procedures that are essential for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This includes conducting quality control checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the reliability of test results. In this role, you will use specialized laboratory instruments to analyze specimens, perform preventative maintenance on lab equipment, and support physicians and providers in delivering safe, timely, and accurate patient care. You will work under broad policies and objectives, referring specific matters for clarification only as needed. ____________________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Perform a full range of clinical laboratory tests for patient diagnosis and treatment. Conduct quality control procedures to ensure accuracy before releasing results. Operate a variety of laboratory instruments for specimen collection, processing, and analysis. Prepare, mount, and process specimens for testing. Maintain laboratory records, logs, and reports accurately. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, laboratory procedures, and regulatory standards. ____________________________________________________________ Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelor of Science degree in laboratory science. Current valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
