Since 1996, VCVREC has been providing the Lehigh Valley area with the highest level of advanced veterinary care and customer service. Our state-of-the-art Referral and Emergency Center is seeking a Lead ER Veterinary Nurse.
Our 12,000 sq ft. privately owned state-of-the-art referral and emergency center, is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and offers advanced veterinary services for our referring veterinary community.We offer specialized care in Acupuncture, Behavior, Cardiology, Critical Care, Clinical Pathology, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Surgery.
As a lead nurse you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the shift operations, allowing our medical doctors to focus on patient care. The position will require great flexibility, provide guidance and support to team members, collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any issue that may arise, and multi-task in an extremely high paced environment. The day-to-day tasks within this position will vary and the ability to work within an ever-changing, evolving environment is key.

Requirements:
· Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a veterinary or medical setting.
· Active, non-restricted veterinary technician license or certification; or equivalent experience.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
· Friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude.
· Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
