Position Summary:
A Final Assembler is responsible for assembling the final touches accurately to ensure a quality product is produced.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop drawings and paperwork.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Install hardware such as hinges, pulls, knobs and drawer tracks using hand tools.
- Drawer box installation.
- Ensuring quality of product.
- Safely operate various pieces of equipment and hand tools.
- Ensure work orders are completed successfully, on-time, and meet customer specifications.
- Final inspection on product prior to delivery.
- Work efficiently while paying attention to detail.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- No required education or job experience.
- Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience operating staplers, nail guns, hand and power tools.
- Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
- Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.
- Driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:
- Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.
- Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.
- Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust. Safety glasses to be worn at all times.
- Endure heat and cold conditions in the plant.
