Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to and resolving complex client inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships to enhance overall satisfaction and loyalty.
- Conduct consultative conversations to understand client needs and recommend suitable banking products and services.
- Serve as the primary contact and support for clients when the International Banker is unavailable.
- Proactively sell and cross‑sell banking products and services as appropriate.
Operational Support & Account Management
- Provide comprehensive support to the International Banker, assisting with client portfolio management and daily administrative tasks.
- Act as the liaison between clients and back‑office departments - including Operations, Compliance, Treasury, and Risk - to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Process new account opening documentation, ensuring complete and compliant packages in adherence with BSA/AML and KYC requirements.
- Perform all account maintenance functions using internal banking platforms and tools.
- Prepare, send, and track regulatory documentation such as Inactive/Dormant letters and W‑8BEN forms; submit completed documents to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with operational activities such as wire transfers, deposits, and general service transactions.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the international division as needed.
Risk, Compliance & Policy Adherence
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate policies, Code of Conduct, and all applicable federal and state regulations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, Consumer Compliance, and Information Security guidelines.
- Identify, document, and escalate potential risks or suspicious activities promptly.
- Apply strong risk‑management and loss‑prevention practices to safeguard clients and institutional interests.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in International Banking, Private Banking, or financial services client support.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with HNW clients from diverse cultures.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in dual languages: English/Spanish or English/Portuguese.
- Strong understanding of international documentation requirements, foreign tax forms, and cross‑border regulations.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, multitask, and follow up effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Professional presence and ability to represent the bank positively within the organization and the community.
- Proficiency with PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly preferred, depending on client markets.
This is a 4x a week in office 1 day flex role at our 350 Madison Office in New York City.
